Why do you need my date of birth and Social Security number?

Wanelo uses Stripe as a payment processor. Stripe is required by law to verify both your company and at least one representative from your company. This prevents fraudulent activity on your Wanelo seller account. In order to do this, Stripe requires the representative’s date of birth and Social Security number if in the US. Stripe requires this information to verify your identity and confirm that you can receive payments on behalf of the business.

Wanelo sends this information securely and directly to Stripe. We do not store, share or use this information for any other purposes.
